You can build the garden coop on a slope fairly easily because the frame of the chicken coop rests on piers.
To make a simple roof join two 40 inch 101 6 cm by 84 inch 213 4 cm pieces of plywood with some inexpensive hinges.
I recommend 16 400 mm cinderblocks positioned vertically for this purpose.

For climates with heavy snow loads a chicken coop roof needs to have a minimum pitch of 4 12 or 18 5.
The tools required will be a contractor s level at least 24 inches long and a tape measure.
At that point measure down from the exposed butt end back to the roof surface.
Place the butt end of the level against the edge of the roof and extend it into the air balancing it until it becomes level.
How to determine the right slope for your coop s roof.

I ve never built a structure using any of these so i can t provide details.
As long as your piers are tall enough on the lower end of the slope you can use those to compensate for the height difference and keep the frame level.
Be sure to join them along the 84 inch 213 4 cm sides so that the roof with cover the entire chicken coop.
This measurement is best done on a bare roof because curled up roofing shingles will impair your measurement.
A chicken coop roof needs to have a minimum pitch of 3 12 or 14 in most climates.
Check to see that there is an overhang at both the front and back of the coop.
Any kind of real roofing will work fine in a chicken coop.
Place the roof on top of the coop.
